The Crib

Location  The one day courses at The Crib make full use of the tranquility of this lovely rural setting with its stunning views to the Long Mynd.  There is ample parking, and bed and breakfast accommodation can be recommended locally for you if required.  For those who want to take advantage of visiting the area, information on local attractions will be available.  The historic town of Ludlow, and Church Stretton, well known as a starting point for walks on the Long Mynd, are both within a 15 minute drive, plus the magnificent Stokesay Castle just 10 minutes away.  Wenlock Edge, the beautiful Clun Valley and historic Ironbridge are all within an easy drive.

What's Included  The price includes all refreshments throughout your day including coffee and home made biscuits on arrival, a two course lunch suitable for vegetarians using local produce and home grown fruit and vegetables, plus afternoon tea in the meadow (weather permitting!).  Also included is a pack of information relevant to your day, wildflower seeds, leaflets, catalogues and free samples.  All participants will receive one of Jenny's books relevant to the course. 

Also available   Wildflower seeds to buy, plus a selection of cottage garden plants and wildflowers, Jenny's books and some original art works.

Morning coffee Fresh coffee with home made chocolate chip cookies
Lunch  Roasted Shallot and Sun-Dried Tomato Tart, Home Grown New Potato Salad, Mixed Organic Salad Leaves, Herb Couscous and Grilled Halloumi with Mustard Dressing
Gooseberry Fool or Mango and Passion Fruit Trifle
A glass of wine or fruit juice (or our own spring water)
Afternoon tea  Tea of your choice from a wide selection, with apricot and pecan loaf (courtesy of Delia!)

Teaching facilities   The venue for our course will be the log cabin in the 2 acre garden at the Crib.  The garden is surrounded by farmland and woodland with stunning views to the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge.  The Teaching Room is well equipped with comfortable seating and a digital projector.  There will be a selection of the best wildlife gardening and natural history books to use for ideas and information plus relevant catalogues and leaflets.
