Are you interested in finding out more about wildlife gardening? 

Jenny runs one day and longer residential wildlife gardening courses in many parts of the country.  A course in wildlife gardening can be an ideal way of learning more about this way of managing your garden and meeting like-minded people.   You can chose between a group day in a variety of venues or one to one day with Jenny on her own.  Courses at Jenny's home, The Crib in South Shropshire, are taught from the cosy log cabin teaching room below.

One day group courses at The Crib, South Shropshire  

We are currently taking bookings for wildlife gardening courses for small groups using the garden here at The Crib, near Ludlow in South Shropshire during the Summer 2009.  These will cover general wildlife gardening, plus more specialist days on making meadows, butterfly gardening, wildflower gardening and making wildlife ponds.  The days will be informative, relaxing and fun.  The cost includes lunch using produce from the organic vegetable plot at The Crib where possible, afternoon tea in the meadow (weather permitting!), all other refreshments and a course pack of information, wildflower seeds, free samples and catalogues, plus one of Jenny's books relevant to your course.  These group courses will cater for small numbers (a maximum of 5 people) and can be booked as gifts for friends and family.  Click here for dates, costs and more information, contact Jenny on 01588 673019 for a chat or email for a booking form.

'One to One' days with Jenny   In addition to the group courses, Jenny will be teaching one day courses for individuals at her home in South Shropshire.  If you would like to spend a day with Jenny, tailored to your own interests and requirements, telephone or email for more information.  The day will include lunch and other refreshments and a selection of books and seeds at the end of your day.  Topics can include general wildlife or organic gardening, beginners vegetable gardening, making ponds and meadows, butterfly gardening or any other topics, which can be arranged at the booking stage.  If you wish we can discuss your own garden if you bring photographs or plans.  The date can be chosen to suit you.  These days make great presents for someone special!  Click here for more information or contact Jenny on 01588 673019 for a chat or email for a booking form.

A Course for Teachers  Jenny will be teaching a half day workshop on May 21st 2009 at Hill End Residential and Field Studies Centre near Oxford, where Oxfordshire County Council runs a series of environmental workshops for teachers.  The workshop is entitled Wildlife and Sensory Gardening and during the morning session participants will learn about planting for wildlife in school grounds.  This workshop will give those involved in the education of Key stage 1 and 2 children and those with special educational needs, the knowledge, ideas and confidence to plan and use a sensory garden and enhance school grounds for wildlife.  More information is available from David Millin on 01865 863510
